The experiment was conducted to investigate the parental diversity along rice genome and understand screen out SSR markers-indicated polymorphism between two indica (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars. Namely K343, most well-liked variety in hill zone of Jammu Region, RML22, a line created at IRRI, Philippines. study is select polymorphic markers (Simple Sequence Repeat- SSR) associated with ecologies cultivars additional research projects like gene pyramiding background selection recover recurrent parent (RPG) blast introgression elite lines. 450 markers, evenly distributed throughout genome, were used assess these genotypes. Of cultivars, 51 (11.33%) showed bands different spectrums genome. has been Marker Assisted Backcross (MAB) breeding integrate resistance genes genotype. pool potential use similar studies work, high probability for ecologies, thus increase chance marker selection.
